Eridan followed her closely like he did on the way up. He noticed that her lusus wasn't watching as closely as he was before. 'Does that mean I'm earning trust, or he's just binding his time?' he thought curiously.

Jade led Eridan along a good way before pulling back some Branches on another ledge farther down, covered in more of the island's lush vegitation, to reveal a cluster of steaming pools. "Ta-da!"

"Okay." he answered, kneeling down beside the spring, he put his hand in tentatively, feeling the warm water. "I think I'll just put my feet in." he concluded

"Okay!" Jade grinned. "Then I will too" She lifted her skirt up to her knees and toed her worn sandals off, sitting next to the nearest pool and slipping her feet in.

Eridan rolled up his pant legs a couple of times before taking of his shoes and socks. He sat beside Jade, putting in his feet tentatively, feeling the unfamiliar warmth of the hot spring.

Jade blushed lightly and looked away. "Kinda" she mumbled. "it gets lonely, being stuck here all by myself"
