Dave hadn't really anticipated Karkat and him getting busy immediately after that, but decided to double check on the other's opinion before he just started assuming things. He tugged Karkat up a bit so that the troll's sudden case of weak knees didn't get too out of hand, asking softly, "You want to take it to the next level?"

Karkat simply stared at Dave quietly. He wasn't sure what 'the next level' was or what it entailed.

"Dave, you gotta be a little more specific than that. He's not completely familiar with Strider courting rituals." Bro smirked. "But Don't worry, if he's not ready, he'll stop you"

Dave rolled his eyes at Bro, not entirely comfortable with elaborating on what exactly he wanted to do with Karkat while his brother was right there. He leaned down and spoke softly against Karkat's ear, mouthing against the shell of it, "Do you trust me?"

Karkat swallowed hard and blushed a little darker, but finally nodded. He did trust Dave. He had been up close and personal with his horns, he had even cut infection out of them and didn't kill him, there was no way that Karkat didn't trust Dave now.

"Then you know I wouldn't want to do anything you're not willing to, right?" Dave asked, tipping his head back a bit to view Karkat straight on. "Because if we go in my room, your lips aren't going to be the only thing getting some Strider action." Please don't make me have to spell it out for you.

Karkat blinked and nodded slowly. He still wasn't sure what Dave was talking about, but the word bucket hadn't come up, so it had to be safe.

Dave grinned when Karkat nodded, giving him the full 'go ahead', so he stated, "Then let's get this ship sailing." He tugged Karkat up some more so that the troll's feet were properly aligned with the floor before chancing a flashstep into his room, carefully setting Karkat on the bed. "Don't feel any pressure to do something you're not ready for," he told the troll, heading back over to his door and shutting it.

Karkat sat up, watching Dave. He was a little nervous, but only because he wasn't sure what was going on, not because he was scared. He let out a little trill, inquiring.

Dave looked back at Karkat, picking up on the confusion that trill suggested. He strode over to the bed, taking a seat beside the troll as he asked, "You ever made out with someone before?" He wasn't sure how new Karkat was to these sorts of things as he had just figured that kissing him and leading him to his bed should have been fairly self explanatory. It was probably a mixture of sexual inexperience and cultural differences that were leaving the troll with that lost expression that only prompted Dave to take things as slowly as possible so as not to startle him. "Because that's really all I plan to do with you right now. Like I said, there's no pressure if you don't want to. We can drop this any time and go back out there and eat lunch; no big deal."

Karkat shook his head gently, then faster when Dave suggested they go back out there. He didn't wanna go back out there if Dave was gonna kiss him again, he had liked that. He wanted more.

Dave smiled at how determinedly Karkat was shaking his head at that last part, somewhat flattered as he chuckled, "Okay, no dropping then. Where doing this." He scooted back onto the bed more and sat up on his knees, leaning forward and placing his hands on either side of the troll's thighs. He tipped forward and kissed Karkat again, sucking gently on his bottom lip before sliding back up. His tongue pressed lightly against the front of the troll's teeth, quietly insisting that the other open their mouth up a bit more to let him in.

Karkat let out a soft purr. His lips parted as he keened into Dave's mouth, pressing forward into the kiss.

Dave was careful to mind the sharp edges of Karkat's teeth as his tongue slipped in, the tip prodding against the similar muscle in Karkat's mouth. His hands took this moment to start palming the inner thighs through Karkat's pants, getting a feel for the troll's comfort level.

Karkat frowned, pulling back a little with a chirp, his eyes questioning and still nervous as he looked up at Dave with his lips still parted slightly.

Dave took a deep breath, needing to resupply his oxygen intake when their lips parted. He smiled at Karkat, pulling a hand off his thigh and cupping his cheek to reassure him that he wasn't going to do anything he didn't want. He tipped the troll's chin up, pressing another kiss before pulling back again and asking, "You alright?" He pet the side of his head, studying his expression.

Karkat let his eyes slip shut with a soft purr, leaning carefully into the touch. He was... Okay with this, definitely okay.

Dave continued petting Karkat, sliding his hand up to sift his fingers through the troll's hair just above his ear. He kissed Karkat again on the lips, moving from the middle to the corners and then trailing down his jawline to the nape of his neck. The hand that wasn't busy petting moved over to one of Karkat's hands, massaging the troll's palm with his thumb and guiding it to rest against his hip.

Karkat purred a little louder, letting his hand rest where Dave placed it, curling his fingers into the fabric covering his hip. He tilted his head to the side to bare his neck to Dave with a soft trill.

Dave took advantage of the neck space Karkat was presenting him, licking and sucking back towards his throat, gently scraping his teeth against the skin along the way. He detached his lips for a moment to nudge the troll backwards against the bed, intending get him to lay down.

Karkat let out a soft noise but reclined back on the bed, letting go of Dave's hip so he could prob himself up on his elbows. He looked up at him in a somewhat dazed fashion, as if asking him what was next.

Dave climbed onto Karkat's lap, knees on either side of the troll's hips as he ran his hands over Karkat's chest, feeling the underlying muscle beneath the fabric of his shirt. He bent down and reclaimed his lips with his own, one hand tugging the edge of the shirt up while the other tucked beneath the soft material to rub Karkat's exposed belly.

Karkat closed his eyes again with a soft keening, his stomach arching up slightly to meet Dave's hand. He parted his lips eagerly this time, and was completely pliant to Dave's wishes; at least until he heard the rattle of empty metal. At that unmistakeable noise, his eyes flew open and he jerked back, hitting his head against the wall with a little yelp.

Bro was leaning over Dave's back with a chuckle. "I think you forgot something" he smirked, his breath warm on Dave's ear.

Dave was unable to keep himself from seizing up when his brother appeared behind him. Even with the warning of the door handle, he had just started letting his guard down only for Bro to force him to bring it back up again. "JESUSFUCKINFUCK," he shouted, swatting at Bro as he quickly turned around, alarmed by his incommodious arrival. No, it was just plain CREEPY. For Christ's sake, he could have fucking knocked, like someone who respected privacy when it was obvious that Dave was getting his freak on with an alien. He could have just tapped him on the shoulder and spoke up from a distance, not breathing on his little bro's ear from behind. If Dave had been developing a boner from when he was kissing Karkat, consider it officially killed, cremated, and in the process of a quaint memorial service.

Bro just chuckled as he stood up straight, empty bucket in hand. "Like I said, you forgot something" he stated, dropping the bucket on the bed next to them before vanishing.

Karkat's face was a brilliant shade of red as he gaped at the bucket.

Dave was about to lash out at Bro again, but he vanished before he could get the chance to hit him. Not that Dave would have been able to hit him even if he had remained where he was a moment ago. His attention slowly fixed on the bucket on the bed, then back over to Karkat. He had heard plenty about trolls and buckets and that whole reproductive, imperial drones phenomenon, so of course he got why Karkat looked so flustered at the sight of it.

He picked the bucket up with one hand on the rim, turning with his back facing the troll to slouch over the edge of the bed. "Fucking Bro... I swear to God," he grumbled, setting the bucket on the floor where Karkat wouldn't have to see it before turning back to face him, "There is no pressure for that kinda thing, okay? If you don't want to, you don't have to."
