He gave a shrug as a response. "Like I care. It was nice to have more time to sleep anyway. Best I've slept in a while actually." He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Captor wants to talk to you when you get a chance. He kinda...walked in and saw us."

"So? What'd he say?" Karkat grumbled. After a second, he shifted closer to Dave, for warmth.

"Something about Makara." He said. "Never said anything about exactly what, but Captor can only tolerate his antics for so long, I guess." He tightened his grip a little, securing him when me moved closer.

"Yeah, I'm a horrible moirail" Karkat stated. "Flush crushing on his Black quadrant." As soon as it left his mouth, Karkat had a hand over it, his face darkening as his eyes widened in horror.

Dave was quiet for a moment before smiling softly. "That's not news to me, Karkat. You already told me you have pale red feelings for me."

"God" Karkat hissed, burying his face in Dave's chest. "Sleep Deprived me is such a blabber mouth. Well, go ahead, you don't have to let me down gently, I can fucking take it"

"Let you down?" He asked, a brow raised. "Why would I do that?" Dave removed his shades before he reached down, gently taking hold of Karkat's chin and lifting his head so he could look at him. "In fact, I feel the same."

Karkat's eyes widened and he gulped. "Y-you do?" he asked in surprise.

"I do." He confirmed, leaning forward to press his forehead against his own.

Karkat's face darkened, and then even darker when his stomach growled. "Um. could we maybe go to the communal nutrition block?" he asked softly, as if he were embarrassed or had somehow gotten shy in the last two minutes.

Dave glanced down at Karkat's raging stomach and nodded. "Sure." He said as his eyes returned to Karkat's goldenrod ones. He released his chin before he moved to sit up.

Karkat sat up as well, stretching a little with a yawn. "Hope you didn't miss anything important in class"

"Eh, I can catch up if I did. Don't worry about it." He stood up before placing his hands on the small of his back and bending back, his back giving a few satisfying cracks. He stood up straight and looked back at him. "Let's go get some eats."

Karkat stood to join him. "Okay. What sounds good today?" he asked, walking towards the door.

"Not sure. I'll probably find something that peaks my interest when we get there. What about you?" He said as they walked out of the dorm room.

Dave looked at him and gave a snort of his own, smirking a little. "Would it surprise you if I said it's not?"

"Not really." Karkat replied with a smile. "Since you've already been here with me all day, wanna come back after food and maybe watch a movie? I'll show you a really good troll action movie"

"Movie sounds good. Though, why don't we go back to my place and watch it? You seemed kind of cold in there. My dorm is a lot warmer." He offered, pushing the button to summon the elevator.

"Should I go grab the movie now then?" Karkat asked "Your dorm is like on the other side of campus"

Karkat grinned and dashed back to his dorm. He reappeared moment later with his messenger bag, a movie case disappearing into it. "Okay!" he chirped coming back over to Dave just in time for the elevator to open. "I grabbed two so you can even choose"

Dave couldn't help but grin at his enthusiasm. Seems that smile of his was contagious. He stepped into the elevator after the doors opened. "Cool."

Once the doors shut behind them, Karkat started fidgeting with the bottom of his hoodie. "So, you're really flushed for me too?" he asked hesitantly
