Dave looked at him at the mention of the trolls version of a laptop. He knew it wasn't much different than a regular laptop, having used Sollux's once or twice. "That would help."

Dave gave a nod and reached over, pulling the husk top from his bag. He placed it on the table, booting it up. "Thanks." He said as he watched the screen light up.

Dave gave a snort, rolling his eyes. He would have rebutted with something just as snarky, but he bit his tongue. "A lot of people know I'm an asshole. As much of an asshole as I am, I still have a heart. And common decency."

"Oh you'd see it. If you gave me the opportunity to show you more often." He said, folding his hands and propping his arms up on the table, ignoring the assignment for now since he had Karkat's attention.

"Outside of the assignment? Maybe just the occasional lunch." He said with a shrug. "If you still don't hate my guts unbearably after that, then we'll talk about other things. Still non-sexual." He added, just in case.

"Sounds good to me." He said, giving a nod. Well, this was a start; hopefully he didn't fuck things up. He took some things into consideration: patience is key, make sure to hold his tongue, and for god sakes don't fuck up his body anymore.

"That would add a nice twist. Though, I wouldn't need you to play anything but the musical scales." He said. "I'll record each scale, then transfer the data into my software. Then I can throw something together using the notes." He explained.
