Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
The document was just as Karkat had talked about earlier, except a little more in depth, a new section added about how the relationship was frowned upon, and details added here and there, But Karkat had been alright with it, figuring that any more would have Dave analyzing a dream that ment little to Karkat.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Dave read over the document a couple times, narrowing his eyes in concentration. Something about this concept seemed familiar to him...though he couldn't put his thumb on it. Deciding it was probably nothing, Dave saved the document on his laptop before pulling it up in a separate document. He could probably get started on the beginning of the ballad, but then he figured he should get some more information first. So with that, he printed out a copy and slipped it in his bag before stretching and giving a lazy yawn. Man, strifing really tired a guy out.

Karat was of a similar opinion in his own dorm, having curled up on the little couch in front of his TV with a movie playing. He wasn't going to sleep well without his recooperacoon tonight.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Dave decided to shower and eat before bed. He headed to the bathroom, coming back out 10 minutes later, feeling refreshed. The wound on his cheek was tended to, sure to heal within a couple days. He headed to the fridge, pulling out a frozen burrito to heat up.

Karkat didn't sleep well, finally sleeping through his alarm and having to make a mad dash across campus to try and make it to class on time.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Having gotten decent sleep, as usual, Dave made it to class on time. He was curious though as to why the hot headed troll wasn't present. He knew Karkat was always punctual for classes.

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Karkat finally showed up after the teacher announced that they would be doing more group work on their project today, and that it would be the last time for this particular project. He came in panting, having to quietly explain to the teacher why he was late. He kept his hands in his pockets.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
The human looked up when Karkat came in, noting his he was keeping his hands hidden. He felt something twinge inside of him, making his eyes give a small twitch. Was that...guilt he was feeling? He frowned, not used to feeling such emotions like this.

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Karkat made his way back to his seat, refusing to look at Dave as he sat down. It was hard for him to keep his eyes open, because he didn't get enough sleep, and it was all he could do not to put his head down on the desk.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Dave didn't say anything either. He had out the printed copy of the information that Karkat sent the previous night. He was going over it in a red pen, marking things that would need to be grammatically edited, as well as circling the more important things.

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
After sitting in silence so long that he was positive he would fall asleep if he didn't do something, Karkat glanced over at Dave. "What's that?" he asked, his voice a little raspy.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
His gaze flicked over to the troll before returning to the page, though Karkat wouldn't have known. "It's what you sent me. I'm trying to figure out how to word things properly for the ballad." He explained.

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Karkat made a little noise, as if to mean 'oh'. "Anything I can do?" He inquired, shifting in his seat and keeping his hands stubbornly in his hoodie pocket.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
He gave a light shake of his head. "Nah I got it covered. Catch some z's man, you look tired." He said, looking up at him now.

"Can't" Karkat replied. "Can't get in the recooperacoon, and I don't sleep well out of it"
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
"I meant right now. Try to get your power nap on." He said before looking back down to the paper. After a moment of silence, he spoke up. "How bad are they?"

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
"Sore, Raw. Won't be able to sleep in the recooperacoon till new skin grows, and probably won't be able to hold a pencil till then either." Karkat replied with a little yawn. "Why do you care?"
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Dave shrugged, continuing to write little notes. "One, it was my fault. Two, when I said I was sorry, I meant it. That's all."

Karkat gave a little snort of disbelief. "Right. A condescending douche like you, being sincere about an apology."
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
"Believe me, it's not easy. The universe might implode on itself as a reaction to this paradox. But for once in my goddamn life, I'm truly being sincere." He said, staring hard at the paper and lightly tapping the pen on the table.

"I'll believe it when Equius gets fucking laid." Karkat muttered to himself, laying his head down on his desk.
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
He shrugged. "Suit yourself." He said. He knew this whole thing was going to take a while for the other to come around. Dave knew he had to have patience.

"I fucking will, Dammit" Karkat mumbled. "Just, let me know if you need me to explain anything about that"
Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
"Will do." He said, reading over both the document and what he had written. He could work with this easy, but he would rather do it on his laptop instead of writing it all out only to have to type the whole thing out. So for now, he set his pen down and rested back in his chair, glancing around the classroom.

Re: You Bleed Like Me (Karkat/Dave)
Karkat tilted his head to see Dave not doing anything, and figured that he was at the point where he needed to start typing. "I have my husktop if you'd like."
