'I wasn't teasing,' Dave signed, giving a side ways smirk. 'Do you want to go to the movies?' Then stating, "You can pick the movie," since he didn't remember how to sign it.

Karkat pouted more as he considered. Finally he nodded. 'yes but ice cream first. Then we can go see a movie.' He slipped off the edge of the bed and stretched a little more before walking out towards the bathroom.

Well, of course ice cream came first. Dave wasn't going to deprive Karkat a treat from his Bro even if he wanted to punt his brother where millions of little Striders resided just for offering something that good to the troll before he could.

Dave saved his progress and left the computer at a page where it listed various movies and showtimes at the nearest theater before he entered the living room and decided to play a video game instead of watching more mind numbing television. Time to do something just about as mind numbing as the other, he thought to himself as turned on the play station.

Karkat came out of the bathroom a few minutes later and chirped inquiringly. He joined Dave on the futon to watch him play, not sitting as far away in one of the futon corners as he had been before.

Dave paused the game and offered a second controller to Karkat, not minding switching over to multiplayer mode since Bushido Blade II wasn't as much fun playing by himself. That and it would be better if Karkat started playing it with him rather than presenting Bro with the opportunity to play against him. It was never a good idea to play a multiplayer game around Bro unless you didn't mind playing a game where you lost every single time.

Karkat was hesitant when he accepted the controller, but he didn't decline. When he continually failed to get the controls for the game down, and was forced to resort to button mashing, he let out a distressed chirp.

Dave could tell that Karkat was having difficulty playing the game so he paused it, offering a helping hand quite literally as he slid a hand over to Karkat's controller. He tapped his forefinger against Karkat's right one, muttering, "Second right trigger, just a little lower, is duck. If you hold the first left trigger and second right trigger, you can jump."

Karkat nodded with a little frown, hitting the buttons as Dave explained them. He gave a chirp to let Dave know he was ready to try again.

"If you need help with anything else, just lemme know," Dave offered as he pulled his hand away and unpaused the game. Lingering on the troll's skin didn't seem like a good idea. He backed off from attacking Karkat's character too much, doing what he could to make it look like he was giving some effort and not like he was just letting Karkat win. He at least had to be convincing to some extent, other wise the troll's victory wouldn't be quite as sweet.

Karkat managed to win right before Bro walked back in the door with the paper grocery bag. Still chirping happily, Karkat rushed over to him in excitement to throw his arms around Bro's middle.

Bro chuckled and pulled out a quart of ice cream which he surrendered to Karkat's waiting hands. "I got you ten of those. That should last you a while"

Dave tried not to cringe when Karkat hugged his brother. That hug had been meant for him, not that bastard buying the troll's affections with that fuck ton of ice cream he was fattening him up with. All Dave had done was get the troll all nice and bubbly and excited for Bro when he came back and now all he could do was sit up and switch the play station to live television. "Need help getting all of those in the freezer?" He asked with strained pleasantry, setting the game controllers on top of the play station.

"Nah, I got it." Bro replied with a smirk. "I can handle that much before I have to go. I only have, what, a few hours till the club opens?"

Karkat retrieved two spoons from the kitchen before sitting heavily back on the couch and holding one out to Dave with a little chirp.

Dave accepted the spoon and signed, 'Thank you,' before flipping the channel over to Myth Busters, which seemed like something that John would watch so he changed it to Jerseylicious instead.

Karkat gave a pleased chirp and opened his ice cream, digging in with gusto.

"So what are you guys doing tonight?" Bro asked, opening the freezer and skillfully dodging the swords that fell out. He had found them last night under the futon and put them all back.

Dave had to wait until Karkat had cooled down on the ice cream assault before scooping a spoonful for himself, answering Bro as he did, "Just going to the movies." He popped the spoon in his mouth, internally praising Karkat's good taste in sweets.

"Hm. What're you seeing, do you know yet?" Bro asked, stacking the cartons in the freezer then putting the swords back. He walked over to lean on the back of the futon, watching Karkat put away ice cream with a blissful expression, his own face expressionless.

Karkat looked up at Bro, a spoonful of ice cream pausing on its way to his mouth. He shook his head.

Bro smirked and caught Karkat's wrist. "Guess you'll have to get Dave to show you a list." He guided Karkat's wrist to his mouth, sensually taking the spoon into his mouth.

Karkat watched with wide eyes, as his face turned red through his grey skin.

Bro finally released Karkat, and the spoon, and straightened. "Hey Dave, can I talk to you in your room for a minute?"

Dave was just about to get another spoonful when he caught sight of what Bro was doing with Karkat's spoon and his eye twitched. No, Bro did not just fucking do that. Bro did not just pull the ol', 'look at what is in your hand; now watch as I put it in my mouth' routine. Dave had seen him pull that whorish stunt off with too many of the lays he brought home as it was one of the simplest tricks in the book. But he did. And he shouldn't have. But he did. And it was taking everything in Dave's system not to break his poker face. Or to break Bro's face with a brick.

"Yeah, okay," Dave muttered, his voice cracking slightly mid-way. He let his spoon drop in the quart before heading into his room, his casual pace making it seem as though nothing was amiss though his mind was reeling with murderous, sibling rivalry.

I'm gonna act like he's any other person in the house, and treat him as such, so if you don't want him crawling in my bed one night, do something about it."

Dave hissed just below a whisper, getting up in Bro's business because he sure as fuck was getting all up in his messing around with Karkat like that. "And what if he does crawl into your bed one night? You gonna crawl up his ass?" He roughly shoved an accusing finger in Bro's sternum, glaring up at him, "Just because I'm not the town bicycle doesn't mean I don't know how to steer." I am not taking tips from a whore.
