Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
Cal stumbled across the roof, then down the stairs, keeping his balance with a hand on the wall and leaving a smeared bloody print on his way down. Bro was waiting for them at the bottom.

Dave was right behind him every step of the way, just in case he lost his balance. He looked over at Bro, silently inquiring if Cal should sit up front or in the back.

Bro held up two fingers and pointed to the back seat, indicating that he should sit in back with him. He got opened the door for them and got in the driver's side.
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
Dave nodded and moved over to the back door, waiting for Cal to get in the car first.

Cal stumbled into the car sliding as far back into the corner of the seat as he could.
Bro watched him in the rear-view, his expression sad.

Dave slid in beside him, closing the door. He glanced to Bro, signalling him to drive before looking over at Cal. He made sure to give him room, seeing as how he was pressed up in the corner.

Bro drove as fast as he legally could to the nearest hospital, which coincidentally was the one where Cal worked. He pulled up outside the ER entrance and waited for the two to get out.

Under less crucial circumstances, the younger Strider would have had Bro cool his jets. Though, seeing how much blood Cal was losing wasn't exactly making him want to tell Bro to slow down. Once they arrived, Dave got out first before motioning for Cal to do the same.

Cal stumbled out of the car, now with more blood on the front of the shirt he was wearing.
"Take him in" Bro murmured.
Cal continued to stumble towards the doors, not really waiting for either of the other two.

Dave looked over at Cal before looking at Bro. "...Don't go anywhere." He said in an even tone before walking after Cal through the automatic doors.

Bro rolled his eyes and moved into the lot to park the car.
Cal stumbled up to the desk, gasping out what was wrong with him. Since the ER was relatively empty, and this seemed to be the most important case, the nurses took him to an exam room immediately.

Dave followed them, standing by as the nurses examined him. Though after a diagnosis was made, one of them told Dave he would have to stay in the waiting room. He protested at first,, but the nurse was insistent. Reluctantly, the youngest Strider returned to the waiting room, sitting in a chair closest to the doors he just emerged from.

Bro came in after he had found a parking spot, and moved to sit by Dave. "Is it broken?" he asked softly.
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
Dave didn't move away, his eyes pinned to the door. "...Yeah." he said with an exhale.

"Fuck." Bro hissed softly. "I'm so fucking sorry, for trying to punch you too."
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
He shook his head before propping it up with his hand on the arm of the chair. "Don't be. I instigated it..." He said with a half shrug. Though he was surprised that Bro was actually apologizing.

"Doesn't fucking matter" Bro replied, propping his elbows up on his knees and resting his face in his hands. "I'm fucking older than you, I should know better, and now its my fucking fault that Cal's nose is broken, and he's gonna fucking miss days of interning and probably a few days of class too depending on what they give him for the pain."
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
Dave sighed, finally breaking his gaze to look over at Bro. "Well there's nothing we can do about it now. It happened; what's done is done. The only thing we can do now is...hope for the best as far as the extent of his injury." He spoke with no malice or hostility. He knew Bro was beaten up already about the whole ordeal. No need to rub salt in the wound. Though, he wouldn't say he would show kindness towards him. Despite the fact of him apologizing and showing genuine concern, he still treated him like shit for the longest time, ignoring him in favor of Cal.

"They say how long it would take?" Bro asked with a sigh.
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
"No. Once they diagnosed the severity of it, they kicked my ass out." He said with a frown.

"How bad is it?" Bro asked softly, his voice concerned.
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
"...I'm not gonna lie...It doesn't look good." He said. It was really getting hard to feel unforgiving towards Bro with how he was acting. "His skin around his nose was discolored and the bleeding still hadn't stopped..."

"God" Bro whispered. "I'm a fucking Monster." His shoulders quivered gently, but he wasn't crying. He wouldn't let himself because he didn't deserve it. This was all his fault.
Re: There's No Such Thing As Too Much Love (Dave/Cal/Bro)
"Oh shut up." He said with a frown. "It was an accident. Hurting him wasn't even your intention." He hesitated at first, but ultimately reached over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "...he'll forgive you, I'm sure." He said in a softer tone.

"I don't fucking deserve his forgiveness." Bro replied. "Or yours either. I was planning on beating the shit out of you, and I hurt Cal instead. I would have been better off if I had been arrested today"
