Dave followed him in there offering to dry them after they were washed. He really didn't have any interest in talking to Bro at the moment.

Cal accepted the help but is wasn't long before Bro came into the kitchen as well. He stood behind Cal, wrapping his arms around him and laying his head on his shoulder. "Cal, I'm sorry. I know I'm an asshole, but I really do love you. You're the best fucking thing that's ever happened to me."

"Bro get off" Cal sighed. "I'm doing something"

When Bro wrapped his arms around Cal, he couldn't help but feel over protectively jealous. Though he knew better, and held his will strong. His brows furrowed as he continued to dry the plate in his hand.

Bro nuzzled Cal's neck as his arms wrapped around him tighter. "I'm serious, I love you so much Cal, I don't know what I'd do if you left" he mumbled.

"Why would I leave? That would mean leaving Dave alone with you and I'm not ready to face the negligence charges that go with that." Cal stated

"Leave him alone" Cal stated, looking like he was only just tolerating Bro at the moment, but could snap at any given time.

Dave knew better than to answer back at him, but he wasn't exactly level headed at the moment. Bro had pissed him off too many times recently, and even if he got the shit beaten out of him, he would have his word.

"Make me." He said in an venomous tone, his gaze finally snapping to Bro.

Bro released Cal and stepped over to Dave, glaring down at him. "Maybe I fucking will." he growled.

"Hey! No! Knock it off!" Cal scowled, flash stepping between the two of them and trying to force them apart with a hand on each of their chests.

"Move Cal" Bro growled.

"Let him, Cal." Dave said with a sneer. "Let the big fuckass get a thrill out of beating the shit out of the only real threat to him." Dave tilted his head up in a challenging manner, his hands clenching into tight fists until his knuckles were even paler than his alabaster skin.

Cal tried harder to force them apart. "No! Both of you stop! This is ridiculous! I'm not gonna let the two of you hurt each other!"

Bro put his hand on Cal's chest and easily shoved him out of the way.

Cal fell back against the counter with a small cry of pain as the edge jabbed into his back.

That was the last straw. Dave growled, grinding his teeth as he cocked his arm back. Before Cal or Bro could stop him, Dave landed an uppercut under Bro's chin. "You fucking bastard!" Dave could feel his blood boiling, threatening to bubble over any second now. He was going to go apeshit, even if it meant getting beaten within an inch of his life; he wouldn't put it past Bro to do it either.

With a yell, Bro tackled Dave to stained and yellowed linoleum. He struggled to pin him down so he could really fucking wail on him.

Cal pushed himself off the counter and tried to pull Bro off Dave. "Stop it! Get off him! Stop fighting! Guys stop it or I'm leaving!" he practically screamed.

Dave landed with a grunt, giving a shout of his own. The impact caused Dave's shades to fly off, revealing his crimson eyes; the color seemed suiting to the way he was currently feeling. He struggled and thrashed under his older brother. Like fucking hell he was going to allow being pinned.

Cal jerked Bro's arm, just as he pulled it back for a punch, and Bro's elbow collided with Cal's face. Bro froze when Cal let out a shrill yelp, his hands leaving Bro's arm to clutch his face, blood already dribbling from his nose.

"Oh fuck, Cal-" Bro started, scrambling off of Dave and trying to comfort Cal.

Cal scrambled back from Bro's reaching hands and flashstepped out of the apartment, the only indication that he had even passed through the door being a bloody hand print on the door.

Everything happened so fast. First the sound of immense discomfort, then the apparent lack of a body on him, then silence. It took him a moment to register everything that happened through the rage and adrenaline. He finally got to his feet and dusted himself off, shooting Bro the iciest of glares. "Nice fucking job."

He turned around and bent over, picking up his shades and placing them properly on his face. He didn't care what snarky comment Bro was going to make, or what move of aggression he was going to attempt. Dave flash-stepped out of the apartment, looking around for any other indication of where Cal went. If the middle Strider was going to leave the whole complex, Dave was screwed, considering how much faster Cal was compared to him.

Bro followed Dave out after a minute, looking upset. His poker face was long forgotten at the thought that he could have hurt Cal. "He might be on the roof" he told Dave "He usually goes up there when he's really upset"

Before Bro could finish his last words, Dave was gone, flash-stepping up the couple flights of stairs to the roof entrance. He saw another hand print on the door, which was ajar when it was usually shut. He opened it up, stepping out onto the roof before looking around for the middle Strider.

Cal was hidden on the other side of the air conditioning unit, holding his nose and sobbing noisily. He sat hunched over so what little blood continued to drip down his face, dripped between his legs onto the cement rooftop.

Bro followed Dave once again, pushing past him carefully, glancing around before motioning to the air conditioning unit.

Dave looked over to Bro before his gaze rested on the air conditioning unit. He sighed softly, approaching the air conditioning unit at a normal pace, feeling his heart strings tug at the sound of his cries.

Cal didn't notice Dave come around the unit, too busy trying not to breathe in his own blood and coughing when he did. He was holding it in place, tears streaming down his face, trying to keep it set because it was broken.

Bro followed Dave, keeping a few feet behind him so Cal hopefully wouldn't run from him again. When his elbow had collided with Cal's face it just hadn't felt right.

The youngest Strider motioned for Bro to wait, thinking the same thing Bro was. He slowly knelt beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder before speaking softly. "Cal...Are you okay?" Of course he wasn't okay you dumbfuck, Bro accidentally broke his nose. And it was their fault; Cal was only trying to help, trying to stop them from fighting.

Cal coughed, cringing away from Dave's touch. "N-No!" He wailed. "F-Fuck! I-Its b-broken ah-and -oh god- Dave, I think I need to go to the h-hospital!"

Bro cringed. "I'll go get the keys" he mumbled, turning to go and get the keys from the apartment.

It was all he could do not to tremble at the sight and the sounds from Cal. "It's okay Cal, everything will be okay." He said, trying his best to sound reassuring. "Come on, lets go to the car. We'll take you to the E.R."

Dave helped him up as best as he could, gently taking hold of his middle. But once he was up, he released him, knowing full well Cal didn't want to be touched. Though if Cal needed any help, Dave wouldn't deny it from him.
