Nepeta playfully stuck her tongue out at the older girl. "It's not nonsense. It's romance."

Rose grinned slightly. "According to her, which I heard her say this when she was hanging out with Roxy, she will settle down and be romanced when he mother crawls back out of her ass and minds her own business."

Nepeta gasped and squirmed. "That's not a nice thing to say about her mommy."

Jade shrugged as they entered Rose's neighborhood. "Well, she is 24 years old but her mom still treats her like a teenager. I think Porrim doesn't settle just to piss off Mrs Maryam."

Jade laughed as she pulled up to the Lalonde house. Rose was silent as she quickly got out. Jade was silent as well as she pulled away from the curb. Nepeta had a confused look on her face. "Is something wrong with Rosie?"

"She's tired. And a bit scared. There's a few things she needs to work out." Jade was smiling as she ruffled her girlfriend's hair. "Don't worry though. She'll be fine."

Jade shrugged slightly. "We're in AP Calculus. We should be doing something besides making pretend maps."

Roxy had practically jumped out of her car as soon as she parked. She had already went into Jane and John's house, leaving the front door wide open. Dave rolled his eyes as he got of the car, slowly making his way to the house.

Jane met Roxy in the hall. "Hush, John's upstairs sleeping"

Roxy eagerly wrapped her arms around Jane, squeezing the other girl. "Janey! You look so pretty today! I've missed my favorite girly so much!"

Dave was quiet as he tried to walk around them. He just wanted to see John. The last thing he needed was Jane nagging at him.

"Oh, Dave" Jane smiled. "John's up in his room sleeping, would you mind taking a glass of water and some medicine up with you?"

Dave quietly nodded at her. He changed directions, heading towards the kitchen. Roxy hummed and nuzzled Jane. "I was promised baked goods."

Roxy kissed her cheek, leaving a large, wet spot. "You're always so good to me Janey. You'll be my perfect little girlfriend one day."

Dave kept quiet as he got the water and medicine. Hopefully he would be gone before Robert got home from work. The only person he wanted to talk to less than Jane was Mr Egbert.

Dave silently slipped passed them.
