Dave yawned as he cuddle closer to John. Another Saturday Movie Night and the youngest Strider was already in his best friend's lap. The younger boy had never seemed to care about how Dave was always so touchy. He even returned the affection most of the time.

On screen a deranged man with a chainsaw jumped down from a tree to chase a teenage girl. Dave let out an embarrassing squeak as he hid his face in John's shoulder.

John jumped as well, holding Dave tighter. "Holy fucking shit!" he yelped.

This was always a huge benefit to watching horror or thriller movies. Dave could cuddle close to John. The other boy was held him close and returned the cuddles. Yeah, Dave usually had nightmares after watching scary movies. But that only gave him an excuse to get into bed with John.

John wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, but he was devoted to his best friend. He wasn't a fan of horror movies, but Dave liked watching them. He'd never admit it, but he felt better when Dave crawled into bed with him at night afterwards.

Dave was tempted to lean up and kiss the younger boy. He was certain that wouldn't end well, so he was content to gently nuzzle his chest. Up until bout 7th or 8th grade John had insisted he was not a homosexual. After that he never mentioned it or brought it up.

Maybe there was hope for something more. "What are we watching after this?"

John looked at the clock on the vcr. "Um, Maybe we should go to sleep. Its like 2." he stated "But If you really want to watch something I'll let you pick"

"Nah let's go to bed when this is over." He tried to stifle a yawn but failed. He nuzzled John's chest again and made a sleepy noise.

John nodded before yawning as well. "where are we sleeping? My bed, or the couch?"

"Can we sleep here? I'm too tired to move."

"Yeah" John nodded.

[midnightVigilante]

Dave yawned again. "Dilfbert won't get mad?"

"He only gets mad when he hears you call him that" John chuckled

"It's funny though. He gets flustered so easy." He closed his eyes. "I'm ready for bed."

"He only gets flustered because he knows what it means now" John replied with another yawn

Dave took his shades off, placing them on the coffee table. "Bed time for me." He shifted but stayed in John's lap.

"Actually, why don't we go up to my room? All the pillows and blankets are up there"

[midnightVigilante]

Dave groaned dramatically. "Dude that's so far away. I can't make it. Too tired to function."

"Dude, I'll carry you" John offered

"Just be gentle. I'm very delicate and dainty."

"Bull. I've seen Bro tackle you before" John chuckled, standing and taking Dave with him.

Dave let out a dramatic sigh this time. "He is so cruel to me. You just don't understand John. He will break my poor little body one day."

"and I'm santa" John snickered

Dave stuck his tongue out. "Mock my pain."

"I will thanks" John grinned

Dave yawned again before he could think of a witty response.
