Jake was whistling again as he cleaned the dishes he used to cook. Something had seemed...off with John. He'd have to talk to the younger boy when he got back. Hopefully he wasn't feeling unwell.

Jake nodded at him. "Quite alright. Come eat. We have a big day ahead of us and need plenty of energy." He handed a plate to his cousin.

He took the plate with a nod of thanks. "Smells great." He hummed as he started to dig in.

John actually liked the little affections, a little disappointed that he stopped. Why did he like that Jake was touching him? Sure he used Jake's image to get him off, but that couldn't mean anything important. That just meant that Jake was hella attractive. But there was more to it for some reason, and John just couldn't put his finger on it.

Jake grinned at him. "Does it taste alright? I made sure to put a good amount of cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper. I prefer them plain. But Jade insists it's gross and taste bland. Threatened to kick my behind if I didn't make you good food."

Jake chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "I definitely wouldn't say great. Maybe decent if I'm lucky. I should eat before this gets cold." He started practically shoveling his food into his mouth. Today was going to be as great as yesterday.

Jake winked at him. "Glad you like it so much. Maybe you can brag to Jade about how much you liked it." He started staring at his younger cousin after a moment. A little bit of egg had slipped off his fork and onto his chin. "Hold still mate." The older boy reached over to John, gingerly swiping his thumb across his chin.

"I can definitely do that." John grinned, the smile faltering a little when Jake told him to hold still. He blinked a little when he felt Jake touch his chin, trying to ignore the small twist it created in his stomach. "Thanks." He mumbled softly, trying to ignore the redness in his ears.

Jake was using all of his self control not to lick his thumb. Or lean over to lick John's chin. He looked down to stare at his plate, feeling ashamed of himself. He had to make those terrible thoughts stop. It was sick and wrong of him to view his baby cousin in the manner. Besides he was 99% positive John wasn't attracted to males.

"Sorry," Jake mumbled. "Just trying to help."

"I know. I really appreciate it." John said with a smile, wondering why Jake looked so upset. "Everything okay, Jake? You sure you're not the one feeling sick?" He asked as he leaned forward to feel his forehead with the back of his hand.

Jake sighed under his breathe as he leaned into John's touch. This was fair. It just wasn't fair at all. Crushes were so stupid. His crush on Dirk had been a minor inconvenience compared to this. The older boy looked up, putting on a big, fake grin. "Peachy. Just a bit parched. I might be dehydrated."
