Jake rocked on his heels as he waited on the Egbert's stoop. He had his sleeping bag under an arm, and his backpack hooked over one shoulder, full of movies and snacks for his and John's bi-weekly movie weekend. He had all the boy's favorites packed, and he had brought all his movies newly obtained since the last movie weekend.

Robert was out of town on a business trip, and it was Jake's job to watch the younger Egbert child while the older worked her internship at Crocker Corp. on the weekends.

Jake leaned on the bell, ringing it enthusiastically and stepping back as he waitied for John to answer

John was running through his house to get to the door. Dad was going to be gone for at least a week. Jake was going to be staying over while he was away. Jane would be gone all weekend at the corporation. That was fine with John. He hated watching his older sister make googoo eyes at Jake and hang all over him. Like the older Egbert child, the younger one had a crush on Jake. John only told Dave, Jade, and Rose about it though. Jake would never like him, why set himself up for failure.

John was grinning as he threw the door open and lauched himself at his older cousin. "Jake!"

Jake dropped his sleeping bag to catch John and spin him in a circle. "Aren't you excited!" he chuckled, setting John on his feet. "Are we taking over the ground floor this weekend for our marathon then?" he asked, picking his sleeping bag back up.

John laughed and wrapped his arms around Jake's neck when the older boy picked him up. He kissed his cheek when he was set back down on the ground. "Yeah! Jane's gonna be gone all weekend, thank god. We have the whole house to ourselves."

"More snacks for us then!" Jake grinned, ruffling John's hair. "I suppose I'll see her on monday though?" he asked stepping inside and closing the door behind John when he followed. "Unless you want me to go home monday morning"

John grabbed his hand, leading him to the den. "I was hoping you'd stay all week. It gets boring around here with just Jane. I don't like talking to her anyway."

"I don't mind that" Jake replied. "Uncle Robert wanted me to check up on you all week anyway. This will just save me walking across the street"

John was grinning as he gave Jake another quick hug. "AWESOME!"

Jade sighed as she flopped down on her bed. She patted the spot next to her, indicating for Dave to sit there. "I wish John would say something already."

"What would you like to watch first then?" Jake asked with a grin.

Dave sat gracefully, his hands still in his pockets. "We're talking about his mad man lust for your brother's man meat right?"

John was still grinning as he plopped down on the couch. "Con Air sound good to you?"

Jade sighed and kicked at the air. "Yes. They are absolutely perfect for each other. Wanna know something?"

"That sounds fine to me" Jake grinned. He moved towards the Tv to set up.

"Always" Dave replied

"Need me to do anything."

"Jake likes him too." Jade sat back up, punching her pillow in frustration. "But he's too much of a pussy to do anything."

"You can get the snacks out of my backpack" Jake replied.

"Seriously?" Dave asked, lifting a brow above the rims of his shades.

John nodded as he grabbed Jake's bag from the floor.

Jade sighed in frustration again. "Yes really. He's liked John for awhile. And Jane won't get it trough her thick skull he doesn't like her like that."

Jake joined John on the couch with a smile.

"When has Jane understood anything about Jake besides that he's hot?" Dave snorted. "So how do you know Jake likes John back?"

John grinned, making room on the couch for Jake.

Jade rolled her eyes and huffed. "He told me. Jake tells me pretty much everything."

Jake laid his arms on the back of the couch behind John's head.

"Must be nice. My older brother doesn't tell me anything."

John smiled, scooting closer to Jake. He was so oblivious it was cute. John was fine with that though. It was for the best his oldest cousin didn't know how he really felt about him.

"Dirk or Jeff?"

Jake smiled at John. "Getting all comfortable?" he asked.

"try both."

John nodded, leaning against Jake. "Yeah."

Jade raised an eyebrow at him. "Does that bother you?"

"I just wish we had a relationship that was more like yours and Jake's" Dave admitted.

Jake smiled. "Good"

Jade pulled out her phone to send a text to Jake. ";) Having fun with John?" She closed her phone and placed it on her pillow. "Have you considered talking to either of them about it?"

John wrapped an arm around Jake. He nuzzled his side, pulling his legs onto the couch.

Jake frowned at his phone, turning it off as he watched the movie with John.

"I'd like them to be nicer for one" Dave stated

John noticed Jake out of the corner of his eye. He frowned, turning his head to the older boy. "What's wrong?"

"How so?"

"Just Jade being Jade" Jake replied. "Nothing to worry about." he smiled for emphasis. "Just enjoy the movie, I shut my phone off so she won't bother us during our marathon."

"I'd like them to talk to me about stuff, consider my feelings maybe. And maybe even do family shit."
