"Huh. That's interesting." He looked down at Karkat before rubbing his shoulder. "Alright well we're going to get some grub. You wanna join us?" He wasn't sure if Karkat would want that, considering how shrunk in he was being, but hey, Dave was courteous now. Or at least he was doing a good job at feigning it.

Karkat started towards the food vendors, tugging Dave with him.

He couldn't help but smile as he was tugged, finally walking with him on his own.

Tavros chuckled as he rolled along side them. "So, um, Do you know all about matespritship, Dave?" he asked curiously.

Karkat stayed close to Dave as they walked, showing a little bit of possessiveness to the humans and trolls there.

"I knew a little of the quadrants to begin with, even though it was just the basic concepts. He's enlightened me on a couple things." he explained, pulling Karkat closer in turn.

"Well, he is, um, the go to for quadrant advice" Tavros grinned. "Except kismesis advice. That one is best left to Sollux."

"Because you obviously wouldn't still have Vriska without it" Karkat replied sarcastically, making Tavros blush a coppery orange through his grey skin.

Dave looked between them as they spoke. "Yeah, I still don't know how you can keep a kismesis, Tavros. The way I see it, you don't have a single hateful bone in your body."

"Stupid wriggler, listening to her when common sense should have told you not to." Karkat mumbled.

"I just wonder when Karkat will, um, find a kismesis." Tavros smirked. "I mean, um, if someone like me can find one, why can't he?"

Karkat growled low in his throat.

"Probably just wants to take his quadrants one step at a time. Making sure the ones he has are secure before going off to try and fill the next one." He said with a light shrug. He was just grabbing blindly in the dark here, but he figured it was as good a reason as any.

"Maybe" Tavros agreed, grabbing a tray and setting it across his lap. "So, um, what are we getting?"

Karkat shrugged, pulling Dave over toward the stand that sold hamburgers and fries.

Dave grabbed his own tray, planning on using it to hold both of their food. "I'm probably just going to get whatever he gets." Dave looked over at the stand then back at Tavros. "Which is that."

Karkat stopped at the cart and looked over the menu. He pulled his wallet out thoughtfully before looking at the chef. "Can I get the barbaque sandwich?" he asked.

Karkat made a face and crossed his arms, but stopped saying anything, opting instead to watch the vendor make his food.

Tavros smirked. "So, um, you gonna stay with him in his recooperacoon?" he asked

"Is that safe for humans?" He asked. He knew the properties of sopor slime and what it did to trolls, but he didn't know what it did for humans. Could be poison to him for all he knew.

"Vriska said that it makes John act like an animal" Tavros grinned. "That the first time he tried to stay over, she had to call your sister to pick him up. He wasn't acting much like a moirail"

Karkat raised a brow at Tavros.

"Whoa whoa, back up." He said, his brows raised. "You're saying it's...like an aphrodisiac to humans? Or it made him violent?" He asked, making sure he was on the same page as Tavros.
