Karkat blinked at him owlishly before reaching a hand out for a taco. He was a little hungry, but he ached more.

Dave handed him the taco and kept the other one on the table for whenever Karkat would want it. He then leaned back and made himself comfortable, propping his feet up on the table and resting an arm over where the troll was bunched up, watching the previews for movies that had been out a long time ago. As it turned out, the movie he picked was one of John's that he had left over from a couple of summers ago: Godzilla, 1954. This was going to be dry and boring as fuck, but at least he could laugh at the people running away in horror from a clearly fake, plastic dinosaur/dragon/seamonster toy on a shitty blue screen.

Karkat ate his taco slowly as he watched the movie, thankful that at least it wouldn't add more to his problem. He still wasn't hungry when he was done with the taco, so he just left the other one be.

Dave was able to watch the movie silently for the most part, only snickering every now and then when a particularly poorly played part was done or an especially ridiculous quote came up. Who was he kidding, this whole movie was all sorts of ridiculous.

Karkat didn't care much for the movie. He found the effects to be lame and cheep, even for human standards. When the credits started to roll, he signed to Dave to put another one in.

Dave moved off the couch and rewinded the movie they had just watched before heading back to the movie selection, grabbing another one without much care of its contents. He popped out the Godzilla movie once it finished rewinding and stuck the other one in, sliding Godzilla back in its case. After pressing play, he resumed his place beside Karkat, scooting closer to him to ruffle his hair as Maid in Manhattan started playing.

Karkat shifted and moved to his other side so he could lay his head in Dave's lap as he watched the movie. It probably wasn't the brightest idea to get so close to him while he ached like he did, but it was more comfortable and that's all he cared about.

Dave shifted in his seating to accommodate Karkat better, spreading his legs a bit while keeping a hand on the troll's hair as the other rested along Karkat's arm. This time he made sure that he didn't bump into Karkat's horns by accident, his eyes darting away from the movie every now and then to look down at the troll on his lap. He said he wouldn't be a cocktease and he would be damned if he didn't try now. He already felt kind of bad about going so far with the troll only to stop when Bro ruined the mood for him.

It wasn't very apparent when Karkat fell asleep, he'd been laying still for a while and his bangs hid his eyes from Dave's view so the only clue he had slipped off was the gentle transition of his breathing. At least the Ache didn't pursue him into his dreams.

Dave nudged Karkat when he realized that the troll was asleep, smiling to himself. "You sleep way too much, lil dude," he chuckled, parting Karkat's bangs to get a better look at him. The movie was only half way through, but it's not like he was really paying much attention to it anyway.

Karkat groaned and shifted a little, his eyes fluttering as he was woken up. He tilted his head to look up at Dave pathetically, his arms sliding to encircle his stomach with a pathetic noise. He was hoping Dave would find him pitiful enough to go back to sleep.

Dave decided to let Karkat sleep some more, not having the heart to keep him awake when clearly the troll didn't want to be. He might as well just sit through the rest of this shitty movie by himself.

Karkat purred, rolling over so he could press his face lightly into Dave's hip. He was starting to really like Dave's scent; it was kind of a mix of apple juice, sweat, and pancakes, but mostly it was just Dave and it made Karkat happy. It wasn't long before he had drifted off again, still purring softly.

Dave had almost started to drift off as well, simply listening to Karkat's breathing and feeling his warmth working on him like a sleeping spell. Only when the tv set issued a long pause of silence did his eyelids drift back up and he saw that the movie was long over. He wasn't really sure what to do at that moment, not at all liking the idea of moving out of his very comfortable seat and abandoning the heat Karkat was providing as well as the risk of potentially waking the troll if he moved. So he just sat there, stroking Karkat's hair with a sleepy smile, the only light in the apartment coming from the blue tv screen.

It wasn't too much later that there was muffled noises coming from the door. After much fumbling of his keys, Bro let himself in, holding the door open for his companion. "Welcome home wheels." he snickered playfully. "Can't believe you gave up two or three fucking weeks of living with mom lalonde to come back to this shit hole." He let the door shut behind them before spotting Dave on the couch. "Don't you have to get up for work tomorrow?" he asked, his pokerface slipping back into place.

Tavros shook his head, "Have you ever been there? With the Lalondes? I mean, the place is really nice, but-but the Lalondes are, well, kinda... um..." his voice trailed off as he stood at attention, transfixed at the futon where Karkat was sleeping on Dave's lap. Something deep in the back of his throat made a strangled whining sound. Bro had given him the head's up on Karkat staying there for a bit and he said he didn't mind, but that was kind of a lie. It was nothing against Karkat personally; it was just a troll in another troll's hive kind of thing that was setting him on edge.

Dave nodded, arching a brow at his brother. "I do, but it's not that late." He squinted at where the clock was on the wall, unable to decipher it in the dark apartment. Maid in Manhattan wasn't that long of a movie from what he remembered last time. Well, he hadn't really been watching it, so of course it seemed to move a lot faster than if he actually had been paying attention. "But if you guys need to crash, I can move this party along." He nudged Karkat's shoulder gently, meaning to wake him up slowly.

Karkat shifted gently with the movement, letting out a soft warble and curling closer to Dave in his sleep.

Bro raised a brow. "Dude, its like quarter after 3. I got off at one thirty and had to pic up Tavbro from the airport. What were you guys doing out here so late?"

Bro's voice roused Karkat, and he sleepily forced himself up with a chirp.

Dave glanced over at the fuzzy television screen, decidedly much more tired than he had believed he was a moment ago. "Watching movies, drenching the couch in our sticky love juices, the works," he stated with a straight face. After thoroughly rubbing his eyes under his shades, he pressed on, "Guess I was out longer than I thought."

Tavros kept staring over at the other troll on the futon, trying to keep calm, trying to keep it cool like the Striders, who were the coolest of the cool. So cool you could freeze a, um, something that doesn’t usually cool that easily! Yeah! That’s how cool they were.

"Yeah, I doubt that. Troll gunk stains. Found that out the hard way when Tav had to clean it off the bathroom floor. Had to buy all new towels." Bro stated.

Karkat let out a little warble, a pathetic noise on its own, but coupled with the waves of arousal coming from him from his excessive build up of genetic material it was enough to make any normal troll snarl and beat him down simply for being that pathetic in their territory.

Bro glanced at Tavros when Karkat made the noise. He could see that the troll was already on edge, and he didn't know how good Tavros's balance was. "Dave, you need to take Karkat and go to bed. Tav is tired and I don't think he'll sleep if there's another troll out here."

"Right, right, right," Dave droned as he nudged Karkat off his lap and stood up, turning back to the futon to hunch down and scoop the troll up.

Tavros could hear the pitch of arousal in Karkat's faint whine, hell, he could even smell it. Even though he no longer appeared as a troll, the scent was still keen on the acute senses he retained as one and made him all the more unnerved with the other troll in the room. "Bro's r-right, D-Dave. I really, uh, really-really wouldn't be, um, able to sleep i-if he, um, if--" An aroused troll in his territory near Bro was making him stutter more so than usual and he was constantly looking up at Bro pleadingly as though to say, 'I'm really not so sure about this any more'.

Karkat clutched at Dave's shirt and quivered. He let out a softer warble, his eyes at half mast.

"Don't worry, we'll talk about it in a minute" Bro mumbled to Tavros reassuringly as he watched Dave carry Karkat away.

Karkat shrank away from Tavros's gaze with a whimper.

Dave carried Karkat into his room and shut the door behind them silently with his heel, not wanting to stir the troll any further in his half asleep state. He set Karkat on the bed and slumped next to him, laid out face first on the bed while leaving an arm draped over the troll's torso.

Tavros hurried over to the futon once he heard the door shut, eager to reclaim his designated sleeping area and frowning after he took a whiff of it. The couch now officially had Karkat's scent all over it and he didn't like it one bit.

Bro quickly swapped out the sheets on the futon for ones that only smelled of laundry detergent. "How bad is it?" he asked with a scowl. "He looks worse than the first time you were stacked here, and he wasn't that bad yesterday." He kicked the futon out flat and tossed the pillows and blanket back on it.

"Um, pretty bad," Tavros admitted, relieved when Bro set the blankets on the futon as he took a seat by a pillow, setting it on his lap. "Better now though." He looked back at the wall where Dave's room was. "Are Dave and Karkat, um... dating?" The smell was kind of a give away, but he wasn't sure if it was just one-sided affections he was picking up on.

"Kind of." Bro replied. "I told Dave he has to watch it, because we can't have both of you here all the time. Also told him not to be a cock tease, but you see how well that one went. And that was what I was referring to by it. I'm pretty attuned to you to know how on edge you are babe. I know you trolls know more about troll workings than we do, so I was asking about him. How bad is he built up?"
