"I'm not" Cal snapped. "I'm upset you forgot, yeah, okay? I just want to go sit out in the livingroom by myself because I know you hate when I sulk around you, and you already said you were mad at me for trying to wake you up earlier, because god forbid I want to spend my anniversary with my boyfriend of nearly twenty years, but you forgot that it even was today and I'd rather go sulk in private than start more shit with you." He stormed out of the room

Dave was still in his room. He ignored the door slamming. It was probably just Jeff having atemper tantrum.

Cal went all the way to their car and got in the back seat. He laid down across them, curling into the smallest ball he could manage and pulling the blanket they kept in the back seat over top of him as he just broke down and cried.

Jeff stayed in his room until he had to leave for work. Dave was still in his room and hadn't left at all. The oldest Strider was grumbling to himself as he walked to his car. He sighed and rolled his eyes when he saw Cal in the backseat. Jeff was still grumbling when he opened the back door and lifted the smaller blonde.

Cal had cried himself to sleep, his cheeks and eyes all red and puffy.

Jeff put him on the futon when he got to the apartment. He left again as soon as he put Cal down. Dave left the bedroom a few minutes later. He was silent as he made his way to the kitchen.

Dave started to make dinner. He was hungry and didn't feel like ordering food from anywhere. Hopefully Cal would be up soon to help.

Cooking dinner only took 20 minutes. Dave left the tray of fish sticks and the tray of fries on the oven when they were ready. He made his plate before quickly retreating to his room again.

Monday morning Dave got himself up for school. He rolled out of bed with ten minutes to spare. He stumbled down from his bed, quickly dressed, and left the room. The lights were off and everyone else was sleeping. Dave slipped his shoes on, grabbed his bag, and left.

Jeff had gone to his room when he got home. He had gone to bed immediately.

Dave spent the whole morning avoiding his friends. He didn't want to talk to anyone of them or talk about what happened with John. By lunch however Jade had caught up with him and was now making him sit with her, Rose, Kanaya, Tavros, and Aradia.

Tavros was playing on his game boy while Aradia watched over his shoulder in interest.

Rose was sitting next to Kanaya. She kept glancing over ever so often before looking back to Jade and Dave. Jade was chatting away about something Bec had done the previous night. Dave was just silently nodding at her as he ate. "And then he nipped Jake right on his ass. I swear he jumped at least three feet."

Rose giggled and nodded.
