Dave arched an eyebrow. "I thought he was on something for those?"

"He is..." Tavros agreed. "They keep him calm, for the most part."

"For the most part?" Dave repeated.

Tavros rolled his eyes. "I know he's off his gourd, but he still needs someone to talk to, especially after we drop this bombshell on him. Not exactly the best, uh, welcome home present."

Now Tavros looked confused. "He lost a moirail, not a matesprit. Why would he be mad at Dave?"

"Tav, I don't think Gamzee needs a good reason to slap someone's face off," Dave reasoned. "And that face could just as easily belong to his ex-moirail's boyfriend."

"Okay, so, you're probably right..." Tavros muttered, eyes drooping. "I just thought it'd be good for him to have someone to talk to."

"Doesn't have to be me," Dave stated. "Maybe just someone who isn't in one of his ex-moirail's quadrants?"

"How are we even going to get Eridan to agree to help?" Tavros asked.

"When has Eridan ever turned down an opportunity to fill a quadrant?" Dave chuckled.

Tavros wiggled back a bit to make room for Karkat to lay down in front of the laptop. "Then I guess I'll leave the camera on."

"There's plenty of room," Dave insisted. "Even if half of me is sleeping off the side of the bed. It's not like I need that much space to sleep, anyway." He really didn't want to make Bro sleep on the floor, that wasn't even an option in his mind, but he also wasn't keen on John and Jake leaving just yet.
