Karkat motioned a tiny bit with his fingers, wiggling the ten pink digits at Dave.

Dave nodded in understanding. "Then I'll try to call more often on here, until we fly over there to see you."

Tavros yawned behind Karkat.

"Its getting pretty late out there with the time difference isn't it?" Bro asked in concern.

"Mmm, early," Tavros hummed. "It's three in the morning here."

Dave's shoulders slumped. "No chance you two could pull an all nighter? Just this once?"

Tavros grumbled unhappily, resting his chin on Karkat's shoulder. He missed seeing his matesprit, he could definitely sympathize with Dave on that part, but he was also carrying over half the Strider family tree in his belly. He was feeling pretty worn out from simply trying to walk, as of late.

"Hey, why don't you set the computer up by the bed, and we'll do the same here, and Dave and Karkat can just stay up together?" Bro suggested.

"Alright, I'll do that," Tavros agreed, hoisting Karkat up as he got out of the computer chair and walked off screen, tiny troll in tow. A few seconds later, the camera became a blur of motion as Tavros set the laptop on a bed loaded with pillows, the camera facing a corner of the bed where Tavros had set Karkat down.

Karkat sat up a little straighter and purred loudly, waving at the camera.

"Got enough pillows there Tav?" Bro asked with a chuckle.

"Never!" Tavros replied off screen, the bed jostling Karkat as Tavros climbed on so that he could get under the covers.

Dave waved back at Karkat. "I see you two have set up your very own Land of Pillows and Covers."

Karkat chirped and took a pillow, holding it to his chest.

Tavros eventually crawled around Karkat with a pillow under his arm, body curled towards the other troll as he gently laid down behind him in a protective position.

"So, what's new with you?" Dave asked with a soft smile.

Karkat chirped and trilled at Dave, dropping the pillow in favor of signing to him.

Dave nodded, but he did pause for a moment to reconsider. "Tav makes a great friend to confide in and I'm happy if you're happy and all, but... I thought Karkat already had a moirail? Isn't it one troll per quadrant?"

"It is," Tavros mumbled, eyes barely open. "We'll cross that bridge with Gamzee eventually."

Dave frowned. "Assuming he doesn't push you off that bridge first."

Karkat looked a little sad at the mention of Gamzee and he chirped quietly.

"I'm sure Gamzee will find someone new," Dave assured him with a soft smile.

Tavros's eyes opened up a little wider when an idea struck him. "Hey, Dave, maybe you could be Gamzee's moirail? Or, maybe at least have a feelings jam with him? I'm sure he'll really need one after we tell him."

Dave wouldn't have agreed to consider such a thing if it wasn't for that sad look Karkat had all of a sudden. "Sure, I guess I could hear him out."

Karkat's eyes widened and he quickly shook his head no with a panicked little chirp.

John winced. "Yeah, bad idea."
