"We're going to need a bigger bed if they're coming over here tonight," Dave murmured thoughtfully, the microwave's alarm going off. He turned around and popped open the microwave door, careful as he handled the reheated burgers and tossed one towards Bro.

Dave finished off his burger before tossing his wrapper away. After he washed his hands, he came back out of the bathroom and took a seat on the edge of the bed. He seemed nervous about starting, but he tried to shake it off. "Hey Bro, when you're done, could you drop me a beat?"

Bro swallowed and set his burger in his lap. He cupped his hands around his mouth and started up a nice beat for Dave.

Dave wet his lips and took a steady breath, tapping his foot and eventually bobbing his head once he started to pick up the rhythm. When it was just him alone in his room with his headphones on, he could focus more clearly and the pressure was off. This though, he was trying to free style from the heart while sitting beside his hero. The need to impress was way the fuck on. He didn't want to sound sappy or corny in front of his bro, but when it came to love songs, that was practically bordering on impossible.

He closed his eyes to concentrate, focusing on Karkat and just letting the words flow from there.
