Dave frowned, turning and shuffling back to his room. Jeff was grinning when he returned a moment later with a bowl. "Chicken noodle soup for the little guy. Eat up, you'll feel better."

Jeff handed the bowl to Karkat. He sat next to the boy then pulled him into his lap. "Eat what you can sweetheart. Anything is better than nothin on your tummy."
