Cal whined softly, wriggling in Dave's arms until he was comfortable. He didn't have to be up to go to class until an hour and a half after Dave, but chances are he wouldn't go to class today, his face was already hurting.

Dave slept comfortably until the alarm Bro set went off. Emitting a whine, he reached over and turned it off, his eyes cracking open. It took him a moment to realize that it was Cal in his arms, not Bro. Regardless, he smiled and pressed a kiss to his forehead. He peeled himself from the middle Strider, stretching with a light wince before standing. Shower first, food next. With that in mind, he stumbled towards the bathroom for a shower to wake him up.

Cal managed to wriggle himself into a cocoon out of the blanket and pillows in the short time Dave was in the shower.

After a few minutes, a more awake Dave emerged from the bathroom, towel wrapped around his waist. He looked out into the living room, smiling at the sight he saw. Goddamn, Cal was adorable even when he was asleep. Keeping in mind that he had to leave for school in a half an hour, Dave walked into his room to get dressed.

Cal sleepily freed his head after a little bit, looking around the dark room. "Time is it?" He mumbled to no one in particular.

"7:35!" Dave called from his room as he started getting dressed, slipping on a shirt before wiggling into his pants. He combed his hair back into place with his fingers before grabbing a pair of socks, pulling them on.

"Well I would imagine." Dave said as he emerged from his room. "Want some pain meds? Or will kissing the pain away do?" He added with a chuckle, sitting on the edge of the futon beside him. "But in all seriousness, do you want the painkillers till Bro can get your meds?"

"Both!" Cal whined. "Then we can cuddle" He pouted, laying back and tucking the blanket under his chin.

He smiled and shook his head. "As much as I would love snuggling you to death, I can't. I have school, remember?" He points out before standing, heading towards the bathroom to look through the medicine cabinet.

"I would, if it wasn't for the fact that I missed yesterday on accident!" He called out, grabbing the bottle of ibuprofen from the cabinet before walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water for him. "And listen to you, telling me to skip." He snickered, returning with both in hand. "That's a shocker."

Dave raised a brow at the expression change and his words. "Since I realized you were right and he actually cares? He doesn't want me to be like him, remember?" He reached over and ran his fingers through his hair. "It's only until 2:30, Cal."

Cal sipped his water noisily before putting the cup aside and hugging Dave. "Fine" he mumbled, laying his cheek on his shoulder. "But I'm still not happy." he grumbled. "I'm cranky and my face hurts."

"I know, buddy. The pain killers will kick in soon." He said, leaning down to press the softest of kisses around his face before finally pressing a firmer one to his lips. "Maybe I'll stay home tomorrow. I'll say I got some shit to do and get the work for tomorrow."

"Mmmmmmmmmmkay" Cal mumbled, flopping back onto the futon. "You be'er hurry home" he mumbled. "M'not allowed to go back to the hospital for at least a week."

"I'll be here as fast as I can." He assured him, pressing a kiss to his cheek before standing and grabbing his bag. "Get some rest, kay?" He headed towards the door, slipping his shoes on before grabbing his keys and heading out the door.

Bro had remembered to sign Dave's paper and folded it and put it in the front pocket where he would be sure to find it.

Dave checked the front pocket just to be sure also finding money for the concealer he needed to buy. He hurried out of the apartment complex, going to Walgreens to buy the cover up in his skin tone before hurrying off to school.

Poor little Cal ended up sleeping all day, and when he woke up, he just drank some water and went right back to sleep. He was actually starting to look forward to pain medication.

The day felt like it was lasting longer than it was, mainly for the reason of Dave constantly looking at the clock. After every class, he would head to the bathroom to make sure the concealer was holding up. It felt like sweet relief when the last bell finally rang. Without even hesitating, Dave walked right out of class and once he was in a less cramped area, he flash-stepped off campus.
