Karkat's mind started to drift as his eyes began to drift shut. The rubbing of his shoulder with Dave's thumb was just so relaxing and comforting, it was luring him off to sleep. Finally unable to keep himself propped up, he slumped farther back against Dave with a sleepy little noise.

Dave looked down at him when he felt the shift in weight. "Wanna call it a night?" He asked him.

Karkat hummed positively, closing his eyes. He just didn't want Dave to stop petting his shoulder.

Dave grabbed the remote and turned off the movie and the tv, leaving them in silence. He then leaned over towards his nightstand and turned off the light. After that, he faced Karkat while laying on his side, pulling him close to his chest. His thumb continued to rub at his shoulder, making tiny circles here and there.

Karkat nuzzled up to Dave's chest, mumbling something in Alternian. He began to purr, already more than half asleep.

Dave shifted so he could take off his shirt. He slipped the material off over his head before reaching down to fiddle with his pants. He had to wiggle a little to get them down, but once he got them to his ankles, he just kicked them off the rest of the way. Emitting a soft sigh, he pulled Karkat close to him once more, feeling his heart race at the direct warmth he felt.

Karkat purred, tucking his head back under Dave's chin with a little chirp. He wriggled closer to Dave's heat as well.

He smiled at the little sound, finding it adorable. Fuck that, everything about Karkat was adorable to him. His messy hair, his piercing goldenrod eyes, the way he easily got mad at practically everything. It was just so cute. He nuzzled his face into Karkat's hair, giving a content sigh as he closed his eyes.

Karkat gave a little shiver and wriggled until he was flush to Dave. It was almost like he was trying to crawl inside Dave's skin.

Dave didn't mind the contact at all, though he wondered if just his warmth alone would be enough for Karkat. He reached back, tugging a blanket loose from the pile, draping it over the both of them. The blanket would keep the warmth from escaping, and hopefully satisfy Karkat.

Karkat's purring deepened and he relaxed, taking that last step into dream land.

Dave slipped in and out of consciousness, opening his eyes when he heard the foreign sound of Karkat's purring. When he realized what the sound was, he would smile and kiss his forehead before closing his eyes to drift back off to sleep.

For the first time in a long time, Karkat slept through the entire night without stirring. His dark circles were practically disappearing the more he slept.

The night went by in bliss, until it was curtly ended by Dave's phone alarm. He groaned and groped blindly for his pants, pulling his phone out and turning off the alarm. He yawned softly before looking down at the troll. "Karkat...t'me to get up..."

Karkat groaned, tugging the blanket up over his head. He mumbled something that sounded suspiciously like Alternian and rolled over.

He gave a snort and leaned forward, gently peeling the blanket away from his head. He placed soft kisses on his cheek, trailing towards his ear. "As much as I want to snuggle you all day long, we can't ditch class again."

Karkat replied in what was obviously Alternian, cracking an eye open to look at Dave drowsily.

"I said 'Hand me my pants' what part of that did you not understand?" Karkat grumbled softly. "Do you not understand English?"

He gave a grunt and sat up, standing to grab Karkat's pants. "That was definitely Alternian you were speaking, love." He returned to the bed, holding them out for him.

Karkat grunted and took his pants, wriggling into them under the blanket. "Pant's are cold" he muttered.

Dave gave a snort and walked over to the dresser, opening the drawer to pull out a clean shirt a a pair of pants. He slipped the shirt on first then shimmied his pants on.

Karkat watched him lazily. "S'Friday" he mumbled. He reached over the side of the bed, feeling around for his shirt.

"Thank god." Dave said as he buttoned his pants, turning to face him. "I don't have any food here, so we'll have to go to the commons. Getting some coffee in us will wake us up." He said as he reached up, rubbing at his eyes.

Karkat found his shirt and lifted it up with a frown. "s'wrinked." he grumbled to himself, sitting up and searching the wrinkled bundle of fabric for the bottom.
