Dirk nodded. "Our parents were...really, really fucked up people." He explained. "They were so abusive, Bro would have to crawl away to his room to escape. Even then , there was never a promise for salvation."

"And from what he tells us, things got a little better when we were born. But he knew they would just do the same to us that they did to him when he finally left at 18."

Dave stretched with a grunt. "Dirk remembers it more than I do since I was a baby at the time. So that's another reason he's so protective of him."

"I was three." Dirk stated. "And Dave was practically a newborn. He started the process after Dave was born, and didn't win the battle for about a year or so. By then, Dave was weaned, so formula feeding from Bro wasn't an issue."
