Karkat smiled a bit at that. "We can even lay naked together now."

"That's a big step" Bro grinned.

"Never would've been able to manage it without you," Karkat replied with a similar grin.

"Maybe now we can work on laying with our clothes on" Bro chuckled.

Karkat snorted. "We can already do that any time."

"Yeah, but when we lay with clothes on, you always want to cuddle more, verses when we're naked when you try to cuddle less" Bro pointed out. "We need them to get to the same point is all"

"You're asking an awful lot from me," Karkat murmured. "I really want to make you happy, though. If cuddling in the nude is what you want, I'll do everything I can to make it happen."

"Not exactly what I meant, but we'll work on it" Bro smiled, kissing Karkat's head as they made it to the building.

Karkat opened the door to the lobby and stepped inside. "What did you mean, then?"

"You seem more lax when we're naked" Bro replied. "I want you to be lax all the time"

"Well, last time when we were naked and I calmed down, we either just had sex or we just woke up." Karkat started heading towards the stairs. "When the clothes come back on, and it's no longer just the two of us, I need to be on edge. I've had to take extra precautions my whole life and that hasn't really changed since coming to Earth."

"People notice when you're tense. Its human nature" Bro explained. "So if you relax, you're actually more likely to fly right under the radar"

"Are you telling me to play it cool?" Karkat asked, amused. "Because I can tell you right now that's not happening."

"Why not?" Bro asked with a chuckle.

[raunchyJanitor]

"Because in case you haven't noticed, I'm not cool. I don't want to be cool. I'm cool with not being cool," Karkat explained.

"I don't mean cool like that" Bro smiled. "I ment cool as in not tense. When you're tense, people think you're up to shit"

"I think I'm already loose enough as it is," Karkat stated. "How much less tense do I need to be in order to fly under the radar?"

"Just enough not to take someone's face off" Bro chuckled.

"I can't do much better than that when dealing with other people," Karkat grumbled." "I think the most I can promise is to only spray a little spittle at every defective fuckwit I come across."

"Fair enough." Bro laughed

"Would it be easier if we flash stepped to the apartment?" Karkat asked, not wanting to wear Bro out. "I just want to clean out the sandwich containers and get into a change of clothes."
