Dave watched Bro start a game from the kitchen. "Yup. Got a spot for him at the foot of the bed."

"If he isn't up by the time the food gets here, I'll move him in there. Its generally cooler in there than it is out here, especially with the light out." Bro stated

Dave sipped some more of his apple juice. "S'probably a good idea."

"Might wake him up enough to clean that make up off. Can't be good for his skin to be in it too long."

"Did he bring a make up kit or should I get out yours?"

"I don't know, but I've got plenty of babywipes to clean his face off with" Bro shrugged

"That's adorable," Dave chuckled.

"I wouldn't let him catch you saying that" Bro replied. "Especially if he's anything like you told me from before. Might claw your face off"

"He's all bark, no bite."

[solarOrigins]

"If you say so" Bro chuckled.

Dave nodded, even though his brother probably couldn't see since he was facing the television. "I'm gonna get back to working on those lyrics. Lemme know when the subs are here."

"Can do" Bro nodded in return.

With that, Dave disappeared back in his room, resuming his work.

It wasn't fifteen minutes later that Bro was up answering the door for their subs. After depositing them on the coffee table, he rapped on Dave's door to alert him of the food's arrival before grabbing the babywipes from the bathroom and making his way back to the couch to wake their little troll charge.

He helped Karkat sit up, the poor troll still glassy eyed with fatigue, and set about gently wiping his face with a wipe, clearing away beige to leave pale grey smudges.

Dave had kept his headphones off so he would be sure to hear his brother when he knocked, stretching after he slid out of his computer chair. Exiting his room, Dave looked towards the two on the couch, casually watching his brother baby the troll for a moment before proceeding towards the bag of food.

"Dave. I'm unfamiliar with Troll color, is his skin supposed to be like an ashy grey? Or is it supposed to be darker?" Bro inquired once he got a larger patch of skin clean.

"It's pretty pale from what I remember." Dave pulled out his sandwich, leaving Bro's in the bag. He glanced back at them. "You think he might be sick?"

"He's doin' the glassy doll eye thing you used to do when you were little, and he wasn't doin' so well with the heat outside. He's probably not doing so well after his flight either" Bro pointed out.

"He sure ain't talkative, either." Dave set the sandwich back down, actually kinda concerned now as he approached the troll. "You alright there?"

Karkat blinked sluggishly, wavering slightly where he sat.

Bro waved his hand in front of the troll's face. "Hey, you hungry? You feelin okay?"

"You need something to drink?" Dave offered.

Karkat closed his eyes.

"Dave, go get some aspirin and some water"

Dave hurried into the bathroom, retrieving a bottle of aspirin before flash stepping into the kitchen for a water bottle. When he was back beside them, he twisted off the lid to the aspirin and deposited one of the pills in his hand before unscrewing the cap to the water bottle.

"Hey, do you think you can take this for me?" Bro asked, holding out the pill.

Karkat focused on it briefly before closing his eyes.

"I think you might have to feed him it," Dave muttered.
