Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John stood awkwardly, still not looking at Bro. He yanked a backpack out from where it had gotten lodged under the futon, his backpack in fact, and awkwardly walked to the bathroom. The shower started up not long after the door shut behind him.

Bro headed over to the kitchen to start making breakfast. Maybe some french toast might ease the tension down a few kicks and possibly mend some of Dave's friend's broken ego? Damn, he really needed to get that kid's name.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John didn't take long in the shower. Just long enough to clean himself and scrub his skin red. He dried off the best he could and reappeared in the living room fully dressed in fresh clothes.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
By the time John was back out in the living room, Bro was just finishing up the first plate of french toast with a side of bacon, whistling away as he worked.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John bit his lip and glanced at Bro, wondering if he was mad about what happened.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John blushed again, ducking his head quickly. He shrugged, digging around in his bag.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"Come on and grab a plate if you are," Bro called over to him, flipping over the second slice of toast in the pan.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John hesitantly made his way into the kitchen. "You're not mad?" he asked softly.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
Bro shrugged, plucking the prepared plate on the counter and holding it out for the kid. "I'm not happy about it, but it happens." He brought his other hand up to the side of his mouth, as though he was trying to hide his next bit from the spies of the white witch. "Keep it under wraps, but I was a bit of a late bloomer myself."
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John stared at him in confusion. "Late... Bloomer?" he asked, carefully taking the plate.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"Yeah," Bro admitted, his smile slinking back into something a bit more humble. "Believe it or not, I didn't start thinking about that kind of stuff until I was well into my teen years."

Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John's face flushed in realization. "Oh, OH. Oh no, no I'm not a, um, late bloomer. I don't, uh, I don't really like to think about stuff, it makes me feel bad" he admitted, looking away from Bro.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
Bro rested a hand on his hip, no longer side glancing John as he turned to face him. "You mean sex?"
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"Aw, kid, it's nothing you should be ashamed of," Bro chuckled, his smile growing again as he watched his brother's friend turn another shade of pink. "If you've got those thoughts floating around, you just need to work out the right time to fuel them, that's all."
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"It isn't that" John shook his head. "I just..." he let out a heavy sigh.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"I want to make my dad proud" John mumbled. "All I heard growing up was about how I was going to be such a handsome gentleman, just like every other man in our family, and how I was going to make a young lady very happy one day and have a wonderful family and that he'll be so proud of his son and that I would feel the same about my kids." John paused to worry at his lip, still not looking Bro in the face.
"How do you tell someone like that that you'll never have a wife? That you're not interested in young ladies or starting a family?"

Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"I imagine you'd tell him just like that. If you don't want a wife and kids, that's his problem, not yours." He flipped over a couple of strips of bacon before continuing. "Dave said you're seventeen, right? That's pretty early to want to start a family, don't you think?"
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"I think you just missed the entire point" John replied, sitting at the table.
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John groaned. He really didn't want to have to say it. "I don't want to disappoint my dad because I'm gay."
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
"Well, if he doesn't take the news well and you need a new, young, sexy father figure in your life..." Bro directed both thumbs at himself. "I'm here for you."
Re: Like Hell if I Care (Bro/John)
John had literally just put food in his mouth when Bro said that and started choking. He coughed until he could swallow before looking at Bro with wide eyes. "A-are you propositioning me?" he rasped
