"I guess, if you want to." Dave was searching through the dvds in Jeff's collection. He was looking for something loud, maybe with tons of exsplosions. The older Strider's phone started to ring a moment later.

"Jeff, it's me." Dick was on the other end. "Do you have a minute to talk?"

Dave was humming as he picked a dvd.

"Yeah, Dave and I were just getting ready to sit down for a movie and decide what to make you for dinner" Jeff replied. "Your flight land yet?"

There was a long pause of silence followed by a sigh. "Something came up this morning. I won't be able to leave for a few hours. I won't be home until late tonight."

The tv turned on as 2 Fast 2 Furious started to play. Dave quickly went back to the futon.

Jeff frowned. "You've been planning this trip home for months, what the hell could possibly have come up? Dirk's already dead set on staying holed up in the bedroom until you get here"
