Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo yawned as she set he bag down on the makeup bench. Thankfully Brent wasn't up her ass about getting ready. She glanced down at her watch and grinned. Robert was going to be there soon.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Robert sat out in his car, waiting. Honestly he was still nervous about going in. He turned his phone over in his hands a few times, debating on texting Jo.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo set her phone down as her makeup team approached her. This day was going to be great. She was finally getting her chance with Robert.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo sighed as she slipped the swimsuit on that Brent had handed her. He wasn't coming. Robert was a very punctual man and was never later to anything. He was supposed to be there 15 minutes ago. Jo was shuffling as she went to the photos hoot area.
It was stupid to think she had ever had a chance with Robert. He was probably at home right now, laughing at how foolish it was the the Strider female really thought he had an interest in a dumb little girl like herself.
Brent made an annoyed sound. "Get in your spot Joann. And smile. You look like someone kicked your puppy."

Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
After gathering his nerve, Robert got out and went inside, but quickly got lost due to the rapid directions he was given by hurrying staff. He finally arrived at his desired location, just over 15 minutes late. He straightened his tie before quietly slipping in the door.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Brent was getting annoyed quickly as he gave Jo direction's on how to pose. Her smile was fake and her body was stiff. Between him, the camera crew, and the lighting crew there was a small crowd blocking her view of the rest of the room.
"Jesus christ Joann. I don't know what your problem is today, but you need to focus. You're ruining my pictures."

Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Robert tried to stay out of the way and retain a good view of what was going on.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Twenty minutes later Bret was growling in frustration. "Joann, go take ten. I don't know what your problem is, but you better have it worked out before your break ends. We're going to have a problem otherwise."
Jo was wiping her face as she quickly went back to her dressing room.

Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Robert frowned and sent Jo a text a moment after she left.
'WHAT IS THE MATTER? IS EVERYTHING ALL RIGHT?'

Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo was silent crying as she went into her dressing room. She plopped down into a chair and put her face in her hands.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo sniffled as she reached for her phone. She sighed as she hit the call button to call Robert.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Robert stepped out into the hallway as he answered so he could hear her better. "Are you alright?" he asked gently.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
"I thought you had changed your mind. That you weren't coming anymore."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
"I had a little trouble finding the room, I sent you a few messages, but I figured you didn't have your phone on you" Robert replied. "I'm sorry to have worried you"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo sighed and hiccuped. "It's okay. Just go down the hall. I'm the third door on the right."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
"got it" Robert replied, walking down the hallway. "What door?" he asked "third you said?"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jo nodded, forgetting that Robert couldn't see her. "Yeah. Third door on the left."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
"I see it now" robert replied. There was a knock at her door a moment later.
