Jeff was already out of the bathroom. Now he was in the kitchen, preparing a lunch for himself and John. He kept quiet as he watched his youngest brother stomp into the bathroom. Jeez, was Dave really this upset over him dating his best friend? Jeff knew that he didn't have any romantic feelings for John, so that wasn't the issue. Maybe Dirk knew what had his little panties in a bunch.

Dirk came out of the bedroom a minute later. "I'm not making fun of you" He called to Dave through the door. "I just think how you're acting about this is adorably hilarious."

Jeff made a noise of confusion as he took the first sandwich out and put in another one. "Jake? I thought he liked you? He's not just using Dave as a stand-in, is he? Because I'll kill him if he hurts either of you."

"Good. I didn't want to cook for you brats anyway." His tone was teasing as he flipped the current grilled cheese. "Just don't do anything stupid or dangerous. I still have a whole evening with John and don't have time to bail y'all out of jail."

Jeff nodded, placing two more grilled cheese in the skillet. "He probably won't come home either. If what everyone say's about Jake's dick is true I won't be seeing either of you til tomorrow."
