Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Josh shook his head slightly. "Holding your weight wrong. You relaxed when you shot. You have to lean into the backlash. Try again, you barely nicked the target"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave got back into his stance to try again. He wasn't as startled by the shot this time. He held his ground and didn't move at all. He was proud of himself actually. Hopefully Josh was too.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Josh nodded in approval with a hum. "Much better. Aim still needs some work, but you hit the target full on at least. Shot gun is not the weapon for you though. Something smaller with less of a kick for sure."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave nodded, smiling slightly. His stomache was twisting in knots. Josh had complimented him, somewhat. He had also gained the older man's approval. This was turning out to be a good start. "Would you teach me?"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
"We can try you on different guns next time. For now, practice with that until you hit the bulls-eye."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave went back to shooting at the target. Jade was smiling as she watched him. Grandpa was being surprisingly patient with Dave. Maybe their was hope for a relationship between them.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave handed the shotgun to Josh when he had fired all the bullets. Jade clapped lightly from her station. "You're already improving Dave. Doing well over there."
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave nodded, watching. He was trying to show that he was interested. He honestly wasn't interested at all. But he wanted to get closer to Josh. And this was one of the only ways he could.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave watched closed, trying to look like he was interested. Guns never held his interest. But he wasn't sure of what else to bond with Josh over. He probably wouldn't want Dave anyway. Josh was a very handsome gentleman. Very, very fit for his age. Having all the money he did impressed plenty of people. Why would he want to waste his time on a scrawny, worthless little boy like Dave?
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Josh passed the gun back over. "Now try again. When its empty, you can try loading it"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave took the gun, trying not to look too eager. Hopefully Josh was impressed so far. He aimed again before shooting at the target. Jade had gone back to shooting her gun and wasn't watching this time.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave smiled, feeling his stomach do little flips. Josh thought he was doing good. This was more than he had hoped for. He was still smiling as he stopped to reload the gun. He looked at Josh when he was done.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave's cheeks turned slightly pink. Hearing Josh compliment him was nice. He timidly held the gun out to him. "Do you want this back?"
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Dave nodded at him. "Thank you for showing me." He wanted to kiss the older male. Even just on the cheek would be nice. But here was not a good place to cause a scene. Dave nodded at Josh again before going back to the bench to sit down.
Re: Just a Number(Grandpa/Dave)
Jade waved to Dave was her grandfather pulled out of the apartment parking lot. Dave had said he could just walk home from the club. Thankfully Gramps insisted that he drive the youngest Strider home. Jade grinned as she turned to look at Josh. "Today was pretty interesting. That was nice of you. You know, Dave really likes you."
