He wants to go on one of his weird adventures, and if Dave comes, he'll just have his head up his ass because he thinks Dave's interested in him, and he's very interested in that, then bro time will not be bro time" Dirk explained.

Jeff raised a brow. "Jake? Jake is interested in Dave? I thought he liked you."

"We tried it out but it just doesn't work." Dirk shrugged "We're really not into the same things."

"Well...I'm going to shower. Would you at least check on your brother?"

"I'm going" Dirk replied, heading to the room. He knocked before he went in, as a precaution. "Hey, what's up?" he asked

Dave was in his bed. He was laying on his side and pouting. "I don't know what to do Dirk. I just want Josh to notice me. And take me seriously. I'm not a little kid."

"Am I really the person you want advice from?" Dirk asked. "This is the guy whose idea of romantic is playing video games together."

Dave let out a dramatic sigh. "I'm just unattractive, aren't I?"

"Well, as your identical twin brother, I have to say that I find you pretty damn attractive. Absolutely fuck-able in my opinion."

Dave sighed again. "You're my twin, you have to say that." He rolled onto his back. "I don't want to just be fuckable. I want a real relationship." He made a frustrated noise and punched his pillow. "Everyone else has someone. But I don't want just anyone. I want Josh."

"Jake's interested in a relationship with you" Dirk stated softly.

"Jake?" Dave looked at Dirk, confused. "Why would he want anything to do with me?"

"he likes you. Says you 'have a sense of adventure' "Dirk replied, complete with air quotes. "He thinks you're adorable as hell too. Likes your web comic."

"Why can't Josh be as impressed as Jake?" Dave groaned and rolled onto his stomach.

"Josh won't date younger than 18." Dirk sighed. "He's one of those guys."

"It's so unfair. We're going to be 17 in a few months." Dave was on his back again. "Why couldn't mom gotten knocked up quicker?"

Dirk snorted. "I could set you up with Jake if you'd like. Give him a try for now till you're older. Get some experience?"

"I don't know." He sat up to look at Dirk. "I...the thing is. UGH." He flopped down. "It's dumb. You'll make fun of me if I tell you."

"You share with me, I'll share with you" Dirk replied.

"I want Josh to be my first." Dave was mumbling as he picked at his sheets. "I haven't gotten far with anyone. I don't want to go far with anyone."

"So just try Jake out. Tell him up front you're not ready for that sort of thing and you're waiting for someone special to give it up to. He'll respect that" Dirk nodded. "Alright, wanna know my secret?"

"What if Josh won't date me afterwards though?"

"If he's anything like Jake and Jade say he is, you'll at least get a chance with him." Dirk replied

Dave sat back up. "So..what were you gonna say?"

"You have to swear not to tell anyone, ESPECIALLY Jeff." Dirk stated seriously "Alright? Jake's the only one who knows about this."
