Slick grumbled and shuffled down the hallway.

Droog was grumbling to himself as he took the chicken out of the oven. Slick was always such a pain in the ass. At least Deuce and Boxcars showed him some grattitude every once in awhile. He turned off all the stove burners so the mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and baked beans wouldn't burn. They could get their own plates, utensils, and drinks.

Deuce was groggy as he rubbed at his eyes and got up. He only bothered to put on his button up and slacks. He left his jacket, hat, tie, socks, and shoes by the door.

Droog was already at the table and eating. He wasn't going go wait an hour for everyone else.

Droog glanced at them when they entered before turning back to his newspaper. He was calm as he sipped at his coffee. "Don't let Slick catch you two. You know how he feels about intercrew relations. He'll beat the tar out of you two."

Droog kept his eyes on his paper. "I'm just warning you. Don't want to see you two on his bad side." That was the last thing anyone needed. Slick would completely flip if he knew Clubs and Hearts were sleeping with each other.

Deuce had made his plate and sat down with Droog. He was hoping Spades would never catch on to him and Boxcars. He didn't know what the older man would do. He didn't want to find out either.

Droog huffed under his breath. He was not jealous. He was definitely not jealous. He just didn't want to watch the other two be all lovey dovey with each other. He checked the time on his watch and sighed. Slick had come out for dinner and he needed to eat. Droog would talk him a plate in half an hour. Deuce was smiling as he ate.

Droog frowned at him. He wasn't sure if the bigger man was avoiding the subject now or hadn't meant it to begin with. "I mean when you asked if I was doing anything tonight."
