Your Nightmare Come To Life

It's been so long since he's seen these familiar streets, the same buildings, the memories coming back to him. Cal couldn't help but grin as he stepped out of the taxi, looking up at the apartment complex he knew so well. It was here that he grew up with one Brodrick Strider, living out their days as best friends. Then the best friends card took a turn, and blossomed into something more.

Then little Davey came along and added to the glory of their little family. Never did the middle Strider love his two boys more than anyone else.

But then the painful day of separation came along when Cal's job required him to travel abroad. He had to leave his boys behind, only able to visit every now and then. Part of him felt horrible for that, to keep Bro waiting for him, and to keep Dave from growing up with two parental figures in his life.

But that was what the Lil Cal doll was for, after all.

So it was with a bright smile that he made his way up the stairs in a record time of a minute, knocking on the door to be let in.

Dave was currently on the futon watching some idiotic show about some baby mama issues that you really didn't care to divulge yourself too deeply into. With Bro in the shower, there wasn't much you could do. He offered for you to join him, but hey, you weren't in the mood to get wet in that way.

He simply glanced over at the grinning puppet resting on the futon next to him- even at the tender age of 19, he was still creeped out by that thing.

Flinching lightly at the sound of a knock, Dave gave a heavy sigh before standing up to open the door.

Bro couldn't hear anything in the shower over the spray but the muted mumble of the television, and still only barely. He was working shampoo into his hair so he could get it out of the way and just relax in his shower time.

It was a shame Dave didn't want to join him, but he could get the little guy later. Ambush him and rile him up till he had him right were he wanted him and all that jazz.

He wondered vaguely if he remembered to lock the door, but it was quickly waved aside with the thought that Dave didn't have the balls to interrupt his shower unless he was ready to piss his pants.

As soon as the door opened, Cal was looking up to expect Bro's surprised look on his face. But when the door opened and he found the upper space to be empty, he looked down towards his own height level to see none other than Dave.

And Dave was definitely staring back, his mind numb to what he was seeing in front of him.
No.

Cal's smile bust into a grin, a look of endearment on his face. "Davey?"
No.

"My god, Davey, look at you." Cal said, shifting to move forward to give the boy a hug...only to get a face full of door.

Dave let out a soft whimper as he turned to face the direction of the bathroom. "BRO!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, and my my Dave, nice job reaching such high octaves.

Dave's maidenly shriek of terror made Bro pause in the rinsing of his hair with a smirk. "Nailed it" he mumbled, letting the hot water wash the suds down his back. He frowned, trying to remember where he set his smuppet trap this time.

Cal just stared at the door, having heard Dave's scream. It made him smile. Did he actually remember him and was this excited to see him? Giggling lightly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys, sticking one of them into the lock and opening the door.

Dave screamed again, flash stepping to the bathroom door, pounding on it. "BRO. BRO."

Cal closed the door behind him and set his bags down with a relieved sigh, looking around.

As soon as he saw Cal walk inside, he lost the ability to give any fucks. He bolted into the bathroom and into the shower with his naked brother. "FUCKING HELL BRO, THERE IS A DEMON IN OUR HOME!"

Bro swore, loudly, jumping back from where there was suddenly a fully clothed nineteen year old in the small stall getting more soaked by the minute. "FUCKING DAMMIT DAVE!" he yelled, slipping a little as he tried to push Dave back out of the stall. "I'M TRYING TO TAKE A FUCKING SHOWER GOD DAMN IT!"

When he couldn't get Dave out on the first attempt, he shut the water off in agitation and yanked the door open, grabbing his towel off the sink to wrap it around his waist. "They're just a few fucking puppets, you don't have to freak the fuck out whenever they fall on you!"

Dave was pressed back against the soaked walls, hyperventilating as his bugged out eyes stared past him towards the door. He finally swallowed hard and pointed out the door with a shaky hand. "'S not a fuckin' puppet, Bro." He finally got out.

Cal was sitting patiently on the futon, waiting for one of them to emerge. After a few moments, he realized that Dave seemed...legitimately scared. Why, he wasn't sure. But he was sure of one thing- it would all be resolved when Bro saw him.

Bro rolled his eyes at Dave, strutting out of the bathroom to get a beer. He'd just take another shower later. Never a thing as too many showers.

He froze when he saw a blonde on the futon. His mouth opened and his eyes widened, but no sound came out.

His reaction is better than Cal could have hoped for. He giggled lightly at Bro's expression, getting to his feet as he fiddled with his own fingers. "'S been a while, Bro." He murmured, tilting his head with a grin. "Either you can dry yourself off first or we can just hug right here and now. I vote for now."

The words were no sooner out of Cal's mouth then Bro was crushing him up into his arms, his eyes squeezed shut as a few manly tears slipped out. (They were totally manly, no questions asked)

"Cal" Bro murmured, his voice thick. "God Cal, I fuckin' missed ya so much baby"

Cal let out a tiny squeak before laughing and wrapping his arms around Bro's shoulders, nuzzling his cheek against Bro's as he squeezed him back.

"I missed you too, hon."

Dave could only watch in terror and shock as Bro actually...hugged him. Bro was hugging him and he wasn't freaked out at all and what the fuck is going on???
"When did you have that dude genetically engineered??"

Cal's eyes opened to look at Dave in confusion. "What's he talking about?" He leaned a little closer so that Bro could hear. "How come he's terrified of me, huh?"

Bro grunted. "Dunno. He's terrified of your puppet though. Has been for practically forever now." He rocked Cal slightly in his arms.

"How long are you staying?"

Well Cal didn't like that. Not at all. He had the idea to make the puppet so that Dave could experience his presence when he wasn't there. But despite that, he nuzzled his cheek against Bro's affectionately. "A long while." He murmured.

Dave's cheeks flared up in color, jealousy hitting him hard. "Seriously, who the fuck is this guy?"

Cal looked over at him and gave him a light smile. "I'm Cal."

"....Seriously, who the fuck is this guy."

"This is Cal. This is the guy who helped raise you, AND the guy you made lil'Cal." Bro replied, lifting Cal up so he could turn and look at Dave without actually letting go of Cal.

"He's my boyfriend Dave, don't you remember him? The guy that used to tuck you in at night and cut the crusts off your sandwiches?"

Dave felt the jealousy rise when Bro so comfortably called him boyfriend. Excuse the fuck out of you, what did that make him?? His lips pinched into a right line as he thought. He did look familiar, but the only reason he could think of as to why is because of the puppet Cal.

Cal couldn't help but pout a little, a little disappointed that he didn't recognize him. "It's alright, Davey. We can get reacquainted in due time."

"Not right now you can't" Bro mumbled, lifting Cal again as he started back towards the hallway. "I'm claiming you right now. My Cal and that's final." he stated with a grunt at the end for added masculinity.

He was gonna put on pants and cuddle the fuck out of him. Pants mostly so he wouldn't get a boner, but he was still gonna try and make up for all the lost snuggling they had to do.

Cal blinked as he was lifted again before smiling with an added giggle. "We'll someone's impatient, aren't they?"

Dave actually stood straight to look down the hall, watching them as they headed towards Bro's room. His stomach was twisting uncomfortably as his shoulders slumped. What was going on...?

Bro didn't bother shutting his door behind them. He set Cal on his feet a minute to grab a pair of pants before lifting the smaller man into his arms once more and flopping down into bed. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming home?" he mumbled into his hair.

"I woulda cleaned the place up fer ya. Gotten all yer clothes outta the crawl space so you'd have somethin to wear. Would'a even tried cookin ya dinner." He nuzzled the pale yellow locks and pressed his lips to his crown. "Just can't tell ya how much I missed ya baby"

Cal was all the happier to curl up right against Bro, his eyes closing as a sweet smile formed on his face. "I wanted to surprise you." He murmured. "I wanted to get the reaction you'd have, and that couldn't have gone anymore perfectly." He lifted his head for a moment to look at him and rolled his eyes with an amused huff.

"You wouldn't have had to do any of that, babe. All I really want is..." He leaned in and pressed their lips together in a long overdue kiss. This. This is what he missed the most. The level of rare intimacy that he had the pleasure of sharing with Bro. After a few lingering moments, he pulled away just a little to smile at him.

"I missed you too, hon."

Bro just stared at him a minute before closing the distance between their lips again, kissing him like a man dying of thirst and Cal was the only water for miles around. He held him tightly, as close as he could.

He let out a tiny little pleased sound, scooting even closer to Bro, is that was even possible. His fingers combed through Bro's damp locks, resting at the nape of his neck as his other arm hooked around his shoulders. His cheeks tinted in a blush as the kiss continued on, his heart racing and his head spinning.

Bro let out a small moan, his fingers tangling in Cal's hair. He parted his lips, nipping at the smaller's before sliding his tongue along it.

A shaky little moan slipped past his lips as he parted them for the other, granting him admittance to his mouth as his fingers curled into Bro's skin.

Bro pulled back with a shakey breath, hiding his face in the crook of Cal's neck. "No more" he mumbled. "I just want to hold you right now"

Cal licked his own lips a little and smiled softly, running both of his hands through Bro's hair, combing it back with a content sigh. "'S fine with me." He murmured.
