Dave didn't pay him any mind, dropping the pieces on the floor. He wasn't going to waste space in the trash bag. He put some more stuff in the box before making a frustrated noise now that it was full. He was barely half done. He looked around before walking out of the room, and out of the apartment. He was off in search of another box.

Bro made haste and dialed John's number, hoping he was awake and wasn't busy.

John's phone went straight to voicemail, it being school hours and all. His recording cheerfully pointing it out before saying he would get back to him as soon as class let out.

Bro hung up and let out a whine before rapidly sending him a message.

DB: john call me back asap its an emergency
DB: daves packing his shit to leave and i cant fucking deal with this shit.

John was calling him back less than five minutes later.

Bro answered the phone, trying to keep his voice steady. "John, I'm freaking out, man."

"Deep breaths, I need you to tell me what happened from when I left last night" John stated, trying to sooth him.

Bro took deep breaths like he was told before speaking again. "He stayed in his room and didn't come out so that's when I messaged you and you recommended the cider and he stayed in there until I was in my room and I came out and he was purposely putting peanut butter on the counter for when you came over next time and I kinda jumped him about it and now he's packing up and fuck."

"Little calmer babe, he was doing what now?" John asked

"He was making a sandwich and he kept dropping peanut butter on the counter. I don't know if it was on purpose or not, but he refused to clean it up." Bro said. "In case you ever came over again."

"He's just mad, that isn't a huge deal. I mean, I'm barely in your kitchen anyway. Now what else?" John asked, sounding a little sad.

"He's packing everything. He's packing whatever he's taking with him and throwing away anything else. Mainly things I got him." Bro mumbled.

"Did he say why?" John asked

"If we're not going to break it off, he's taking himself out of both of our lives for good." He sighed heavily.

John was quiet. "Break it off" he stated quietly. "He's more important to you, and he should be. He's your family. Break it off and keep him."

Bro snapped up, his hand clutching the phone even tighter. "But...John." He whispered.

"You don't deserve to lose him" John stated sadly. "I can handle it, Break up with me and keep Dave. Family is more important, and Dave is all the family you have"

Bro was silent for a moment, keeping quiet for a good minute. He finally let out a very slow exhale as he tried to keep himself calm and collected. "...I love you, John." He said somberly, defeated.

"I know, Bro. I love you too." John replied.

"...I'll go tell him then." He said quietly, not even bothering to hide how hurt he was.

"Alright. I'm sorry" John mumbled.

"Dont be." Bro sighed softly. "I'll let you know what happens."

"Alright. Good bye" John murmured before hanging up.

Bro hung up and held his phone tightly for a moment before tossing it onto his bed. He got up and walked out of his room to go look for Dave.
